    Activities for June-July

    Kids are out of school and the wind is steady and strong since early morning… oh yeah, summer has settled in! Our community has prepared these activities:

    22 June – Mermaid Parade in Cabarete

    In honor of all our New York transplants and of course  we will be doing a mermaid parade through Cabarete. We will start at the Red Dragon Inn on Calle 7 in the Callejon de la loma, for drinks and congregating. Then parade up the Callejon de la Loma to the beach where the mermaid belongs ending at Uno Mas for treats from the sea and to party! Start getting your sea costumes ready and invite your friends of course feel free to bring music instruments. Call 829-779-4041 for more information.

    27-30 june – Street Soccer Tournament – Cabarete

    The guys are already forming their teams and their strategies so well, you can imagine how this is going to be. A good opportunity to get into the contagious mood of sports, fun and good times.

    30 june – Canada Day in Sosúa

    Canada Day is that country’s national day which commemorates the 1867 amalgamation of three British colonies to form the federation of Canada. Whatever your nationality, if you are in Sosua please join the celebration! Calle Pedro Clisante will be closed to traffic especially for the event. Entertainment will be assured, including a variety of games for children.

    06 July – Made in Cabarete Bazaar

    Made in Cabarete is a new monthly activity organized by a group of expat entrepreneurs who produce local goods. If you’re looking for something different to take home as a souvenir, this is a great chance. The event takes place on the first Saturday of each month.
